Mazda B-Series maintenance issues?

Asked by Marty Aug 22, 2013 at 01:39 PM about the 1998 Mazda B-Series B2500 SX RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Looking at a '98 Mazda with 110K miles on it.  What kind of maintenance issues should I
be concerned about, e.g. timing belt, etc?

Timing Belt at 60K is a good practice. Plug replacement at 100K. Fuel filter every 30K. The very best information will be from the owner's manual. The steering, Ball Joints and front wheel bearings should get a good look-over. At that mileage, front-end wear is pretty typical. Look at the tire wear.
