Lights,brake lights

Asked by GuruZDQ87 Oct 10, 2017 at 01:28 PM about the 1997 Ford Explorer 4 Dr Eddie Bauer 4WD SUV

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

1st question. Brake lights don't get brighter when
pressing on the brake pedal but are on other wise
and 3rd brake light not on. 2nd questions is I
replaced passenger front head light bulb and still
doesn't work. I also just noticed Hazzard switch is
push in and no Hazzard lights on but if it's pushed
out the turn singles don't work anymore.  I know a
lot of questions but hope they have something in
common. I just got this vehicle for my son. Thanks
so much.

I think the sockets in the back are worn and things are grounding out , or not , where they're not supposed to , you'll need a multi tester to check for power and grounds where they are supposed to be . take the bulbs out and check at the socket contacts
