No crank, no start, no power

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Was working fine one day and the next not at all.
When I put the key in the ignition there's a light
around the key hole showing where to put the key.
However as soon as I try turning it all signs of
power die in my car. I first thought it was a dead
battery, but it cherged and read fine. Then I've
replaced my starter thinking that it was that, but
still the same problem. I'm worried that it is
electrical, but if not I have no clue as to whats
wrong with it.

First thing I would do is check all your fuses. A lot of times this is something simple that we fgorget about but many times it is the issue. always check your dollar a piece fuses before spending hundereds on parts. haha
Double check to make certain that all battery cable connections are clean and tight. Measure the voltage at the battery when turning the key. Sounds like something electrical is loose and not making good connection.
Also check your battery connections. Especially your negative connection on the motor and frame. These cars are known for issues with these connections. The one on the motor is right above the starter where the motor and trans meet. One on frame is right behind the battery on the firewall.
Sounds as if your ground wire to the frame or starter is not grounding due to rust or loose nut. The Ole' man
did you fix it if so how because i am having the same problem.
