Big wheels put a lot of load on the brake system which is unsafe as stopping distances are much longer. I would recommend going to smaller wheels, maybe 17".

Big wheels are horrible for your suspension, braking system, and engine as it adds more weight, takes more to stop the car, and takes more oomph from your engine to make the car go. I know you probably like the way it looks but if you want your car to last awhile, tuck the macho away and get some nice (even chromed out) smaller wheels.
