Broken 2017 Ford Fusion Tail Light

Asked by Jaclyn Feb 26, 2020 at 07:00 PM about the 2017 Ford Fusion Hybrid SE FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

A few weeks ago, someone hit my parked car in a hit and
run, and didn't leave any information. The entire side tail
light is broken, but the part of the light on the trunk is intact.
The light worked for about a week, but then we had some
snow and I think the wet got to it before I could get it
repaired.

Is there any possibility that it's just the brake light switch
that needs to be replaced, instead of the LED? And if I need
to replace the whole light, would a 2016 brake light work?

You'll have to go to the dealer and get one , $$$$ . I doubt the switch is bad ,
