97 ford explorer wont start
I have a 97 ford explorer. Battery is new. Being that
it is old, there are some problems with it, but none
that have ever affected the motor or its major
function.
Lately, the belt screeches when it is started.
Sometimes also if air/heater is running. The belt
was changed and the problem continues.
Today i drove about 2 hours. One pit stop to fill
tank with gas, before leaving town. Once arriving to
my destiation, i turned vehicle off for several
minutes. When i tried to start it again after it sat
about 5 minutes, it wuld not start. There is power,
but no crank or any sound. I am out of town with
an infant and minimal funds. I am really trying not
to call my parents and get them involved.
This has never happened to me in the year i have
driven it, but i do not know if it has to anyone else
who has in the past.
Anyone know wut the problem culd be? Culd the
belt problem affect it not starting?
