GET THE SERVICE DONE ! if it was done at a dealer and they didn't reset it,you should get free coffee for life for this basic error. If you want to reset it yourself, the instructions are easily found on the web or one of many MB forums. It's tedious, but not hard. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES RESET IT WITHOUT HAVING THE SERVICE DONE !. You're asking for trouble and lower resale value without a documented maintenance history
If you want to know how to perform this action, just follow these simple instructions: 2019 Mercedes Benz C300 w205 1. Sit in you car and close your doors 2. You must show your odometer mileage on the center display/dash 3. Ignition in position 1 (press start button, but don't step on the brake. The indicator on your display/dash will fully go to the right then left. Your car should not start) 4. Select and press "Back Button" (left side of steering wheel) for 1 sec (keep pressing) then select and press touch pad 5. "Vehicle Data" is now displayed on center display/dash 6. Select "Assyst Plus" (use touch pad) 7. Start car 8. Select "Service Problem" (just press touch pad again) 9. Select "Confirm" 10. Select "Oil Grade" (only ONE will reset so just try them all until you find the correct one...not all will confirm) 11. Select "Service Carried Out" (Yes)...Make sure you change your Oil and Filter (6.3 quarts Full Synthetic . Most places charge under $100 and that should include a tire rotation. 12.Select "Confirm" 13. Shutdown your Car, open and close a door and restart your car...Service Error Disappears
