I have a 2002 Ford Explorer. It won't shift gears and I can't figure out how to check the transmission fluid. There's no dipstick, or I can't find it if there is. Do you know what I need to do? 1 Answer

Put it in reverse and it reverses. Put it in drive and it goes in drive and thats it/ It won't shift gears.

I purchased a used vehicle in January 2014 and the title states it is a Total Loss Claim. I cannot pass inspection on it and so cannot register it.
