My 97 mustang v6 GT has this humming noise that seems to be coming from the fuel tank. Is it common to hear the fuel pump humming in these stangs.

Yes, especially if its an aftermarket fuel pump. You did mean V8 gt, right? They don't make a gt that isnt a v8

yes it is normal,when you dont here it then you in trouble.they inside the gas tank.
