Asked by thomasRN53 Aug 01, 2020 at 11:03 PM about the 1964 Chevrolet Impala Hardtop Sport Coupe RWD

Question type: General

In 1968 my older brother bought a 1964 Impala, It was NOT an SS, it had a
327 and factory 4 speed with a bench seat, the seat had a notch cut out for
the shifter . It was a sweet car !
Is any info available, how many were made , 327, 4 speed, not an SS ?

You can try contacting an Impala enthusiast club. Someone there might have those production numbers. Hope that helps! Jim

Ed is correct. I had a 64 impala, 4 speed, bench seat, factory tach, 327/300. It ran like a Toyota and never let me down. Original paint Blue/Blue. I've seen two others with the same configuration but different paint. I'm looking for another right now. Thanks...

Jason's pic is authentic - right down to the correct matching carpet grommet. Never a notch from the factory. I've seen custom bench seats with notches in 57 Chevrolet's with 4 speeds, but no other cars.
