Starting proplems with my 1977 k-10 help

i was driving my 1977 chevy k-10 home about a week ago and when i got
home   i was carrying things into the house and left it idling and when i come
back out to move it around it slowly died and my head lights work and blinker
i just put a new fuel pump in and it wont prime it starts with blowing ether into
the carb and it also work when you pour gas into it but it dont stay running it
has been used on a farm its entire life so its pretty rusty and it has 200 some
thousand miles on it

Sounds like a fuel problem for sure , Is there crap in the lines/filter ? Maybe the carb. bowl and gaskets are leaking . If the fuel line is rusted out where it goes over the rear axle it won't leak but the fuel pump will suck air
