P0300 code on 06 Altima 2.5
Quick backstory:
About 6 months ago, my 2006 Altima 2.5 started having trouble starting up
- it would turn over fine but it would hesitate and wouldn't fire right away. I
changed the spark plugs and had both the crankshaft and camshaft
sensors replaced but the problem persisted. I ran a companion wire directly
from the terminal to the crankshaft sensor and it's been cranking fine since
(about two weeks ago).
The only problem now is that it sputters and sounds like it wants to die
once it starts. This started around the same time the issue above started
and it only happens after it starts - It never stalls or dies at idle in traffic or
anything.
I got the P0300 code (random / multiple cylinder misfire) about a week ago
and I cleared it. The check engine light just came back on today after a
week. I've also been hearing this odd sound of water sloshing around in the
dashboard area when it first starts up. I've also noticed that I've been losing
water out of my resevoir tank for the past couple of months, too.
I'm really not sure where to start. Has anybody else seen anything similar
to this?
