Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Wife went to AutoZone after the check engine light came
on for her 2019 Nissan Altima. They pulled the codes and
P059f came up. Any idea what the fix could be?

I suggest you use your warranty. This is a problem with the active grill louvers.

Will that be covered still? The only part of the original warranty left is the powertrain coverage.

Update on issue. Took the vehicle to a Nissan dealership and they determined that the fix would be a new ECM for the vehicle. The cost for that is well over $600 and it is not covered under the powertrain warranty with the manufacturer. Needless to say we did not get the vehicle fixed and the light is still on. I personally don't know what is going on when the grill louvers are still working properly.

Eric if you are from Ca then this will fall under the 8year/80,000 miles warranty.

Federal law requires that the catalytic convertor and on-board computer, (ECM/PCM), be warranted for 8yr/80,000 miles.
