Evoque Hill Descent Control (HDC) Button

Asked by jetjock64 Jan 04, 2019 at 03:56 PM about the 2019 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque 286hp HSE Dynamic AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2019 RR Evoque Owner's Handbook says on p 139, "1. HDC Button: Press
and release to enable the HDC system" and on p 151, "Press and release the
button to enable the ATCP system," and then, "2. Within 4 seconds, press and
release the button again to enable the HDC system.  So, do  I believe p 139 ( 1
press) or p 151 (2 presses) to get HDC?  Which?

1 Answer

The Manual p 139 instruction is wrong. I've discovered by testing that the p 151 instruction to press HDC twice in 4 sec is what it takes to get the HDC on. Case closed.
