Why won't my Nissan Altima 2005 won't shift into 4th gear

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It goes fine through the 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears but won't go into 4th. Could it be something minor?

Assuming it's auto, check fluid color and level, if good, trans rebuild

That's kind of what we were afraid of. If the color is not good, could it be something else?
