Why does my 05 Nissan Altima jerk forward when at a red light? Engine light hasn't come on either.

Jerking forward when slowing down for a light, or when attempting to accelerate from a stop? Even though you don't have a CEL on, still scan for codes. You may have some stored, you might have a tranny code being set, although some problems won't set a code, like a torque converter or clutch issues.
