the windshield light came on,on the dashboard basically telling me to put some windshield fluid in which I did it took a bottle in the half to fill it up my only problem is the light will not turn off

How do I get the light to turn off I
unplugged my negative cable from
the battery hooked it back up and it
was still there.. How do I fix this small
problem?  Does it matter if the light is
on or not? I have a Nissan altima
2005..

Yes that's the only light on the dashboard and I looked it up in manual book to make sure and that's what the book indicated..

You need to check the sensor in bottle. If you have a light on and the light is indicating about low windshield washer fluid. You have a problem with that sensor.
