front wheel bearings

Asked by kupuna Nov 04, 2012 at 08:31 PM about the 2005 Nissan Frontier 4 Dr SE Crew Cab SB

Question type: General

This is the first truck (or any vehicle) I ever owned that you can't service/re-grease the front wheel bearings.  Why?  This might be the only reason I will NOT buy another Fronteir.

sure you can, but is a bit more involved, I have done them before, complete disassembly is required of the hub.

as far as "greasing", no, modern cars have no fittings for a grease gun, only heavier duty trucks.
