We just purchased a new 2019 CRV - LX AWD on Monday. When setting up
our phone, the dealer had us import our contacts list and then tried making a
call by saying "CALL ". It did not work. The dealer is looking into it.

My question, will this only work if we add names to speed dial first? Or is
there an option to call anyone in our contacts by saying the name?

Hello Aetedford - let me first state that I'm a grumpy old man. Second I will observe that when driving and carrying on a conversation with someone in the passenger seat I have a second set of eyes to call my attention to something I might have missed because the conversation distracted me. Thirdly studies have confirmed driving while under the influence - including phone conversations puts you at greater risk of accidents and hurting/killing yourself or someone else. So, it really doesn't make a difference how the feature works because using it is not the best move. (Yes, I'm an grumpy old man and wouldn't have it any other way.)
