I too own a 2004 Nissan Murano, bought it used, and it has been a constant nightmare. Replaced; alternator, both CV shafts, rebuilt the front end, before Les Schwab would do a front end alignment, also replaced battery twice. Then it had been leaking engine oil into the spark plug tubes, had to buy a new valve cover for the front side of the engine. THEN, now the cruise control kicks out at highway speeds, the trying to speed up, I press the accelator pedal, but it Will not go faster than 65 to 70 mph, problems? I seem to have them all with this marvelous piece of Japanese wonderful vehicle... Wow B

Could be alot of things. For me it does it when my camshaft sensor goes out. Should throw some kind of P034_ code if thats the case.
