I figure you should be fine. First you should make sure the wheel you want to put on is the same size as the wheel that is coming off or bigger. If it is smaller, make sure it clears the brakes and any suspension (especially when the front wheels turn). Also, check the bolt pattern on both wheels to make sure they match (e.g. 6 on 5.5, 5 on 4.5, etc...means 6 lug wheel with 5.5 inch diameter between lugs). If they don't, I believe aftermarket companies make wheel spacers that can mate non-matching bolt patterns. And if you plan on mounting a bigger wheel, you will probably want to go will smaller sidewall tires, unless you plan on lifting the Pathfinder or trimming the fenders. Otherwise you could have tire rubbing or fender clearance issues. Those will be your biggest issues.
I'm honestly planning on doing the same thing. I have a '98 Pathfinder 4X4, I want to put wheels on that are off of an '01 - '04 Frontier 4X4. Since it's a factory Nissan wheel from a later model vehicle it should have the same (or better) strength.
Would 20" rims from a Cadillac sts fit a 2013 Nissan Pathfinder
I have a 2019 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum, the spare is a donut. I need a real wheel and tire. Is there any wheel I can buy that will fit where the donut is now? They tell me that since it’s a donut it is designed for donut ONLY!
