Question type: Car Selling & Trading In
Hey guys, I’m looking to trade my mustang
for a 2005 Nissan Titan SE. The Titan has
228k miles but it’s been well maintained and
serviced every 3to4000 miles with a clean
title and no wrecks. It’s rear axle has been
replaced a couple years ago. It’s got a ton of
aftermarket parts. It’s a real clean truck but I
was wondering if the truck would still be
reliable with 228,000 miles ?

How long do you want this truck to be reliable? It has almost a quarter of a million miles on it now. If you drive a lot it will have 300,000 on it before you know it. If it is a good truck AND you only drive a few thousand miles a year it COULD last you for years. Then again it might die tomorrow.
I want it too last a good bit
Do a little math. Multiply the miles you drive each year by the years you want it to last. Add that to the miles on the truck. I would be looking for a truck with a lot less miles.
10,000 miles a year x 5 years = 50,000 miles + 228,000 = 278,000 miles for example.
