what is the topcoat used to protect the paint on the 2019 nissan murano?

Asked by Guru1C4PX Sep 04, 2019 at 03:59 PM about the 2019 Nissan Murano Platinum AWD

Question type: General

I am trying to find out what type of protection is used on the paint for a Nissan Murano.  I see all kind of topcoats that can be applied after market.   But what is already there?

There is a clear coat (paint) but you can use any wax type product that you like. The only true paint protection is a garage.

There's clear coat on top the paint and some have a coating on top known as: "Boomershine Hi Tech Coating". It's not wax, it's a bonded clear coat. It works on everything from bumper to bumper: paint, glass, rubber, mouldings, chrome, alloy wheels, etc.. It's a 3 year guaranteed "Reactive Cured Ceramic coating" which is applied by the dealer. It really keeps my car looking showroom new with just a basic car wash.
