A/C compressor works fine but inside air is hot what's wrong

comp works great all lines are ice cold to the inside but the air is hot in the cab

did you check for a leak, because if you are getting icing /condensate on the lines you are either out of refrigerant or you have a leak somewhere, those metal lines should never freeze under any circumstance. refrigerant aka r-134a is just like freon, it's contents are under pressure and if you release that pressure really fast you get moisture in the lines which then freeze up causing icing on those lines

If it had a leak,the dryer would not get cold,we had one with the same problem come in at the shop,was a rat nest in the ducts.

it was the heater control valve it appeard to be working but the gate inside was broken

I had the same problem, I found the linkage wire was disconnected from the cold/hot lever. and it was on hot when it happen. you have to disassemble part of the dash or pull out the control unit and check it. Chancayano

My 2007 ranger does something similar. It feels as if the cold air is fighting the hot air and the hot air wins! The compressor works fine, but when I set my controls to AC the hot air wins, when I select Max AC the cold air wins. Sounds like something is wrong with my middle knob which is the hot/cold temperature setting. Am I right???

If I put the car heater on the hot side and turn the thermostat down it will cool down after 5 or 8 minutes but if I put it on cold side it won't cool down at all what could be wrong with it I know the freon is got to be full otherwise it won't cool on the hot side got to be some kind of switch that's out

Ford ranger truck. Ac compressor comes on but blows hot air there is o leaks and i charged it but not getting cold
