Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My altimas engine stopped working because of an overheat. Im on a budget so
would an engine rebuild or a new engine itself be a cheaper or better option? I
looked online and the price ranges look too broad. Brand new engine or a
rebuilt engine of mine with 125,000 miles?

Don’t worry I have another car and planning on getting a new one, I just want to see if that car is worth repairing for less than $800. It was my car,its super clean with little body scratches.and in great condition. I just like to have a car for a backup because I know the history of the car, and I think if I can invest some money into it to driving it for at least 4 more years it’s more worth buying a used car for $4000 that I don’t know the history of
