Could be a lot of issues. Could be a fuel delivery issue, a sensor or coil malfunctioning, or the PCM itself. Have this diagnosed by a dealership as there are far too many possibilities on a modern car to answer a question like this without going over the vehicle thoroughly first.

shuts off while driving you say,,,,its not fuel delivery nor PCM.....I believe it oxygen sensor,,,it gradually deteriorates ,,so replace it.....if it is fuel or PCM problem your not going anywhere even during start up is a problem......O2 sensor is around 67CD....should replace it ....every 60,000km.
I have 2013 Nissan Altima that shuts off while driving…I have taken it to Nissan to repair seven times and they can’t repair it...
shutting off while driving will not be an o2 sensor as the o2 and air fuel ratio sensors are for emissions and do not affect the running of the car to the point that it'll shut off. most common reason for this is the camshaft and crankshaft sensors but could also be a fuel issue, ecm ( no pcm in this car), or even something as simple as spark plugs. is there any codes?
When the hook the car up to the scanner they say no.codes come up.

2008 Altima Hybrid shuts off while driving on the freeway and while idled (inside a car wash in neutral position) I can place in park and restart right away. New things on the dash is VDC, Check Engine and slip anyone have a clue? Repair shop says replace the battery $1600 but I’m not convinced.
i have a 2007 nissan altima and when driving long distances on the highway the car seems to to drop the mph to 0 while im still going the speed i was before then eventually goes down to zero.. i wait a couple minutes to turn the car back on and it works perfectly .. whats the issue ? i read a code before it said p0701 as temperature heat sensor..

If your car stops while driving or when idled it may not be transmission . Same thing happen too me it was my timing solenoid . Have them check that . Cost 400 but it fixed the problem .
I used to have a Nissan Sentra 2013 that would just shut off or decelerate, but the check engine light was never on, so the dealership couldn't read the codes. Eventually one night it did pop up and I went to auto-zone right away and it was a "MAF Sensor" I hope this helps, however, I had replaced mine and still had issues.
