can I use a 225-55-16 tire in a original wells

No and yes, the tire would fit, but not properly and would be a danger to yourself and other drivers (unless you purchased aftermarket rims and that is their size). You would also have to get your on board computer recalibrated to compensate for the change in tire size even though it will be minimal. Is there any tire in particular you like or have questions on?
