Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Alright, i've googled it i've asked around yet nothing. My dashboard needles for my gauges are way off! if i turn my car on WHILE PARKED it reads im going 35mph. My gas gauge will touch my heat gauge if my gas tank is full. And my engine is apparently on fire all the time. And no big news on my RPM its been broken. the turning of the needles are fine. if i'm going 25 it'll show 60. If i'm going 35 it'll show 70. Just need to know what to do to get them back to where they should be. Kinda annoying when you're on the highway and you slam on the brakes because you think you going 100. The reason my RPM gauge doesn't work is because recently the black cap that is usually on it fell off. So i unhooked everything and pulled the lens off my gauges to get the black cap out of there. When i put it all back on everything got messed up. Mainly just need my gas gauge fixed if anything. Any tips on how to do that? If not how much would it cost me at a shop?
