Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2004 Nissan Altima and the car keeps
shutting off. I just put in a new starter, but it keeps
having trouble turning over. I know my car keeps
overheating, and I have white smoke coming from
my exhaust pipe. Any idea on what this could be?

Sounds like a complicated issue. I would get it checked out. Overheating for too long could potentially blow your engine.

Well I would say you need a new battery but it sounds like you have got multiple issues going on.

I actually just put a brand new battery in the car. I also just replaced the starter. I noticed that there is a recall for the car as well, but i'm not sure if that is the actually problem.
