Does my vehicle have a lift kit? Can I make it taller with just tires?

I have a 04 Nissan Xterra. I was told that it has a lft kit on it, but it seems normal height. How do I tell? Also, I would like to make it taller, around F-150 height or so. Can I do that with just bigger tires, or do I need a kit? If I can do it with just tires, how big can I go? And what about rims? If I get bigger tires will I need new rims? I've also heard of people just putting different suspension kits or springs on to make taller? (body lift vs. suspension lift?) Sorry for all the questions, I just want to know what all my options are.

Here are what some of the parts will look like if you already have a kit on you car...http://nissteclifts.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&category_id=178&Itemid=72...if not this kit will work to raise it. Bigger tires will only give you a couple of inches in height...
