97 Ford Ranger got the 4 cylinder with 8 plugs

Yes had parked it for about 3 months because I was having
a few issues with it smelling like it was overloading you
could smell it coming out of the tail pipe well I hooked it up
to the computer and it read misfire on the number one
cylinder and a heat sensor module well I put new plugs and
wires on it and replaced one of the coil packs but it still
sluggish and some times it spits and sputters and it seems
to bog down when you give it to much gas just don't really
have any power what can I do to fix this problem really need
my truck for work so please tell me what direction I can to
solve this issues I have

Check the catalytic converter to make sure it's not partially plugged up.
