2002 Nissan Altima completely dead wont start at all

The car cut on then cut off twice now it won’t start
at all.  it’s completely dead no lights or any thing.
my battery is good.  I turn the key in the ignition
nothing at all happens

he also agreed that I need a mechanic that does electrical work. he changed a panel that was on the battery the car started but the panel burned out almost instantly and the car cut off. He too said a wire is touching somewhere. He also stated that electrical work is very expensive.
