i was driving home from work and 2002 nissan frontier sc was running fine started fine, thirty minutes into my way home it died and will not start thought maybe ran out of gas but nothing, any ideas

The fuel pump may have quit. Turn the key on and listen for the hum from the tank.

Have you ever changed your fuel filter? There is also a known problem with the fuel sending unit. Nissan P/N 25060-4S415, It cost me 110.00. The fuel pump is about 250.00 so test for voltage all the way at the connection to the pump which is mounted on the bottom of the tank before you just change the pump, had to take my tank out twice.

Pull your distributer cap and see if your rotor spins when cranking. No spin means no timing belt, which could be the problem
