Plugs should be replaced ever 100,000 miles, or 160,000 kms

Correction...Platinum plugs should be replaced no more than 100,000 miles (which is what your car should have come with). Copper plugs should be replaced around every 40-50k, but they are much cheaper than platinum or irridium. I wouldnt run irridium unless you maxipad has a supercharger from stillen or a custom turbo kit. Naturally aspirated nissans love the stock NGK plugs. Buy them at autozone or advanced auto parts...same product, just much cheaper.

Thanks for the reply. My mechanic said my Maxima had iridium but I argued with him saying they were platinum. I think he just wanted me to spend more money than I needed to.

he just asked about the iridiums, platinums are the same. copper plugs, I suggest yearly or 25,000 kms. as they are so cheap to buy compared to the platinums.
