make sure the batt. terminals are tight did you test the batt.for 12.5 V ? , try a jump , if the starter is clicking them it's getting juice and may be bad , don't buy cheap , see if you need a memory saver for that car , probably not

They are tight and I get 13.1 voltage tried to jump and it’s a no go and I looked up a memory saver and can’t understand what you mean can you elaborate

newer vehicles have "data" 'saved that is lost when the batt. is disconnected , not real familiar with it but I don't think you have to worry about it , everything seems to point to a bad starter

I’ll check it and let you know what I come up with but in the mean time I am getting a code for an egr valve could that be anything ???

exhaust gas recirculator , once you get it started see how it runs , the egr should only open at higher rpms or certain conditions , it could be getting a bad signal from somewhere else depending on how it works , it may not be coming on at all if you don't notice a problem
