Do I need to replace o2 sensors with oem's or is aftermarket ok?

My CEL is currently on and is throwing pass codes for all four of my o2
sensors. I'm a college kid with an old car ('01 Maxima) that I'd love to drive
around a couple more years but also don't want to dump a ton of money into.
I'd like to have the sensors replaced just so I can see the CEL if another
problem comes up, but I'm finding a lot of people online that say aftermarket
o2 sensors are screwy. I'm trying to figure out if I can get away with
aftermarkets (just because they're so much cheaper) and my light will go off
and the sensors will do at least a decent job or if I've gotta go with the OEM's.

OEM is preferred but, Keep your sales receipt in case of a AfterMarket failure. Yes aftermarket is "almost" the same.

Ah thank you. So you'd recommend giving the aftermarkets a shot and then returning it if it doesn't work out?

Nothing special about OEM units. Aftermarket sensors work just as well and are priced much better. If you can, stick with a mainstream aftermarket supplier like those found at the auto parts chain stores.
