Hi John ... I hesitate to ask the reason for the question, so I won't. It's unlikely that your Taurus has an in-the-trunk release and if it does it's not factory equipment. Ford did however make trunk releases standard equipment in their 2000 models and beyond, across all of their models. Hope that helps. Good luck!
