Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am about to purchase an 01 nissan pathfinder with 140K miles for $4,500 and the check engine light is on for the oxygen sensor and intake timing control. Is this an easy fix? Will the car still run? i know nothing about cars!!!!

14 years old, 140K, CEL on, and $4,500? Overpriced. You can do a LOT better. Unless you live in NYC or LA, where everything is overpriced. O2 sensor code may be a sign of the catalytic converter going bad.
