Question type: Maintenance & Repair
2001 Nissan Pathfinder SE After starting it sometimes misses and other times it doesn't.
Had a tuneup (hoping to get lucky) but didn't help. Still have the same problem. Also the
check engine light flashes. Now shows multi misfire code. Need to know if it might help to
disconnect the battery to reset the memory. Have been told the brain could be loosing
memory. Thanks

Cam shaft position sensor,s are most likely your problem.
They tell the coil when to fire the plug,if bad you will get random misfire.

Does disconnecting the battery reset or reprogram the ECM? Before the tuneup we had 4 codes P0303, P0171, P0174, and P1320. After the tuneup it shows a multi misfire code but not sure which code. Any help is appreciated.
By disconnecting battery ,should reset the ECM,Po303,is misfire on#3 cylinder,PO171 and_174 are fuel system running lean at bank 1 and 2,and P1320 is ignition coil is bad, being this code come,s up,i would think it would be the #3 coil pack being bad,but this all lead,s back to the cam sensor,s all so.
