I have a 97 ford Taurus. How do I tell if the coil pack is bad?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My water pump went bad and after replacement, my car wont start. Next I replaced the crankshaft sensor and it still wont start. Could my coil pack have gone bad? I cant get the codes to come up on a scanner because I disconnected the battery.

Check with multimeter http://www.ehow.com/how_4912368_check-coil-packs-voltage-meter.html
