2000 Nissan Frontier
Asked by John Sep 24, 2020 at 07:35 PM about the 2000 Nissan Frontier 4 Dr SE Crew Cab SB
Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I've had a parasitotic drain on my on my Nissan. My mechanic couldn't find the
problem. He suggested a guillotine switch which disconnects the battery when
not in use. I works great, even though I have trouble starting sometimes.
My main question is the radio quick working. I can't find an image of the fuse
that controls the radio (if that is the problem) Can anyone help?

Have a different mechanic check it out. It could be a bad ground, a wire that the plastic has worn off or a light. It takes time and a multi-meter to find them. If your battery is over 3 years old, I would just get a new battery with a warranty. Some radios need a code to use them if the car loses power. It was a safety feature so if someone broke into your car and stole your radio, they would need the code to use the radio again. If you don't have any power to the radio, then it's a fuse. Check out YouTube. Someone must have posted a video of your particular problem or a similar problem. Good Luck!
