2007 Camry Hybrid
I travel for long periods of time, thus I have to leave my car behind and it will
not be started for extended periods (often months). This last time I came
home I tried to start the car, but it appeared the auxiliary battery was
completely dead. (Remote would not unlock the car, no power getting to the
car at all). I tried to charge to the auxiliary battery with a standard charger,
but the charger would not read it. I disconnected the battery terminal and
tried to charge the battery and the charger reader read that the battery was
fully charged. I reconnected the battery and the car got power and started up
just fine and ran. I drove it around the block a few times and parked. I turned
the car off to see if it would start up again, but again nothing. I disconnected
and reconnected the battery and the car again started just fine. It appears in
order to get my car to start now I have to disconnect and reconnect the aux
battery terminal. What could cause this? I initially thought it was just a loose
terminal connection, but that definitely is not it.
