2009 Toyota Camry Carbon Buildup

I took my 2009 Camry Hybrid into the dealer because the engine was
making a clicking noise.  I get a call a few days later telling me that there is
carbon buildup on the pistons and the only repair is to replace the engine.  
They offered me a used engine with 97k miles on it installed for $5,500.  I'm
not a big car guy, but to me this sounds a little excessive.  Does anyone
know of an alternative to this issue that doesn't involve replacing the engine?

Do you remember receiving a notice from Toyota about Excessive Oil Consumption? Was your engine burning lots of oil?

Actually you don't need Seafoam to remove carbon, water or transmission fluid will do the same thing for less money. The trick is finding a place to inject it.
