car shutting down when temp above normal

Question type: General

car runs fine for about 3 days then when it gets above normal temp starts to
chatter loses power in engine and shuttes down and will not start until cooled
down

Have the cooling system serviced before you ruin your engine. Thermostat, flush, new coolant, hoses and maybe a new radiator and water pump. Also make sure the cooling fan works.

If you alreafy know it's heating up, don't use it til u find the problem and fix it, these cars are notorious for head problems due to overheating. Start by replacing thermostat and new coolant. Start it up and turn on A/C, the cooling fan will turn on, this will tell u if fans are ok. If you notice fans not kicking in when temperature raises, check the cooling temp sensor (switch)
