97 thunderbird window wont roll up or down without help

Asked by Nickie2013 Aug 01, 2017 at 07:39 PM about the 1997 Ford Thunderbird LX RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Neither driver or passenger side window won't roll
down without my help. I can hear the motor trying
to do its job but its like it doesn't have enough
power to do it. Will the motor lose it's power before
it just stops working completely Or can it be
something else?

First run a resistance test on the wires from the window switch to the motor. It should be zero. Make sure there is no corrision at either end. If they are all clean and good contacts, the next thing would be a bad motor.
