2009 Saturn vue

My daughters 2009 vue was stolen we just got it
back after missing for two months ...starts up fine
sounds good...right front tire has the donut..I put it
in gear and nothing happens no tire spin..service
stabiltrak light comes on and something about
traction control, it is sitting on soft dirt...any
thoughts

take a front tire off and see if whoever stole it took the CV joints off

What do you mean the donut is on, the spare tire? I take it this is FWD? How many miles? My guess is the transmission is shot, and you need to bring it to a GM dealer and they will rebuild the tranny for free as long as you are under 120,000 miles. Again must be brought to a GM dealer as GM will not cover it if you bring it to any transmission shop.
