My car doesn't want to accelerate when my headlights are on

Hey guys please could you assist, my car for some
reason doesn't want to rev over 3k revs whenever I
switch my headlights on however I can drive with
the radio and everything else on its fine. Even at
stand still if I rev up and the lights are off the car is
absolutely fine it only happens when my headlights
are on, please help??? I drive a Nissan Sentra 160si  
with ga16dne engine

That's a strange one. The only correlation I can make is that your battery is so weak that turning a heavy draw accessory like headlights, robs the ignition and fuel pump of power to operate. That would have to mean the alternator isn't helping much either. Maybe test for voltage drop. Should be 12-14 volts all the time. Let us know what you find.
