Nissan Frontier 1994 6 cyl VG30 4x4 not starting, no starter click noise

The solenoid is probably the issue or a wire going to the solenoid. You probably need to replace the whole starter. You can have the starter checked at an auto parts store first. Check for oil leaks around the starter area.
Thank you for the reply. Actually it had nothing to do with that. I am the second owner and forget that the original owner installed an after-market key activated ignition cut-off system under the dash. A small black key is kept in the switch for normal use. If the key backs out just the slightest, no more ignition use. After checking all over for fuses and wires, I thought I would just check the cut-off key and push it in a little. It worked fine. So, for future reference, one of the troubleshooting tips to keep in mind is to check if there is some kind of alarm or cut-off switch involved. It isn't something I normally think of right away since it usually isn't a problem like solenoids, wires, starters and fuses.
