Start with a tune up,it may be a dirty fuel filter or bad/loose spark plug/ wires, NOTE:there may be more than one fuel filter

I did a simple tune up like new spark plugs filters etc.I did not change the cap n rotor.a mechanic friend told me it might b fuel pump

No didn't check for that.mechanic friend told me to spray engine with soap n water to find any leaks

Soap and water to check for leaks on a vacuum? That only works when air is being forced out of an object not being vacuumed/sucked in. I've only seen that work on flat tires. Sorry but you mechanic friend should stick to diagnostics of 10 speed bicycles
