Car cuts off when driving. Can it be wire harness

Could be wire harness. If you let the car idle will it run smooth? When it dies does it suddenly die or slowly get worse? Does it backfire at all? Do you have any check engine lights? These questions will help solve the issue you have.

I would find which wire/circuit is bad. A bad wire can give a false sensor error. Check connections and wires involving the sensors that show bad. Then if you still show bad sensors I would get them replaced and then reassess the situation. It can be difficult to trouble-shoot when you have several issues at one time.

Forgot to answer about back firing. You can tell a back fire by the engine shaking or you might here a hiss or a pop out of intake.

A few different scenarios come to mind here. Check battery post connections make sure they are tight and clean. Check fuse boxes for corrosion and or loose/corroded wires. Another area to look is the ignition switch. See if tapping on it gives you any indication that it is failing.

Another post like this says its most likely caused by a bad catalytic converter. I have the same issue on mine and the symptoms fit perfectly, checked everything from plugs to the fuel pump and its all fine but I never looked at the exhaust system.
